We’re very excited to share with you our new line of kits that were designed specifically to support the New Mexico Science Standards and Benchmarks.

As you may know, the Center is a non-profit corporation founded and run by teachers. Since 1991, we have provided award winning curriculum to schools and programs all over the world.

Journey into Science kits are a result of years of working with teachers, scientists, museums, and students. They were designed to help teachers meet all the Science Standards while providing their students with a meaningful and exciting science experience.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Journey into Science. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-894-1492 or e-mail us at chol@rt66.com.

Teacher’s Guides include

  • A road map for the lesson including side trips
  • Need to teach just the standards? Stay on the main road--the lessons cover the standards efficiently. Want to wander and spend more time? Take some of the side trips (materials for the side trips are not included in the kit but are easy to find).
  • Alternative ways of presenting many lessons--more structured or inquiry-based
  • Step by step instructions in one column, suggested “teacher talk” in another
  • Background information where and when you need it
  • Current research in brain development and learning or science
  • Web resources
  • Two end-of-unit assessments

Complete Kits include

  • All consumable and non-consumable materials for each activity
  • Enough materials for a class of 30 students
  • Each activity in its own labeled bag--no more hunting through the bin!
  • Take-home mini-books, activities, and games
  • Science Corner materials and posters--a little science museum in your classroom
  • Drop in refill packs keep the kit up and running
